Quordle today – hints and answers for Saturday, March 16 (game #782) – TechToday

When it comes to Quordle, a different strategy is needed compared to Wordle. With four puzzles to solve in nine guesses, blindly guessing letters will not lead to victory. Instead, strategic thinking is key.

This strategic approach is important in Wordle as well, but even more so in Quordle.

There are two key things to keep in mind.

1. Utilize multiple starting words

It is advisable to not rely on just one starting word, but rather have around two or three starting words. The first word chosen should ideally be one of the best starting words for Wordle, as they tend to work well in Quordle too. Following that, select another word or two that utilize a variety of common consonants and any remaining vowels.

For example, a combination like STARE > DOILY > PUNCH covers 15 out of the 26 letters in the alphabet, including all five vowels, Y, and nine common consonants. While there are other options available, a strategy like this should prove effective.

If successful, these starting words can provide insights into one or possibly two of the answers. If not, then it’s a matter of luck!

2. Narrow down possibilities

When faced with a word that could have multiple solutions, like -ATCH with options such as MATCH, BATCH, LATCH, CATCH, WATCH, HATCH, or PATCH, it is crucial to guess a word that helps narrow down the possibilities.

In Wordle, you can try multiple options in a row and hope for the best, especially in Hard mode. While risky, this approach can sometimes work. However, in Quordle, this method will likely lead to failure due to the limited number of guesses.

In the scenario mentioned above, a word like CLAMP would be a smart choice as it narrows down four of the seven possible words at once.
