The former VCs of GGV Capital have rebranded their operations after splitting into U.S. and Asia teams. Jenny Lee and Jixun Foo have renamed their Singapore-based operation as Granite Asia, while the U.S. team is now called Notable Capital, led by Hans Tung. The decision to abandon the GGV Capital brand was made to reflect the separate operations going forward. Granite Asia, led by Lee and Foo, will focus on startups in various regions, while Notable Capital, led by Tung and others, will continue investing globally. Eric Xu will oversee the original firm’s yuan-denominated funds in Shanghai. The split involved $2.5 billion raised for new funds, with Granite Asia managing $5 billion and Notable Capital managing $4.2 billion.
